Optical Fiber

Optical fiber probes are commonly used to deliver laser power in numerous medical applications. Many therapies require the reliable delivery of high laser power to ablate tissue. Polymicro™ optical fibers are successfully used in diverse medical specialties such as general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, cardiology, medical sensing, diagnostics, endoscopy and dentistry.

  • Various-sized fibers, ranging from 25 to 2,000 μm core, with different numerical apertures from standard 0.22 up to 0.66, and biocompatible buffers such as Polyimide, ETFE or Nylon
  • Manufactured in an ISO13485, 9001 and 14001 facility that adheres to strict FDA QSR regulatory requirements
  • Biocompatible ISO 10993 certified medical fibers
