Phillips-Medisize to Present at MF Dry Powder Inhalers Conference
Hudson, WI - June 15, 2016 - Phillips-Medisize Corporation’s Chief Technology Officer, Bill Welch, will present at this week’s Dry Powder Inhalers (DPI) Conference in London. The Dry Powder Inhaler Conference is a key event for pharmaceutical and medical device professionals in the DPI market. The conference presents the latest technology in DPI formulation and development, along with where the DPI market is going and the innovations being applied for patient compliance.
Mr. Welch’s presentation, entitled “Integrated Development and Scale-up of Combination Products,” will cover smaller and smarter combination products to support the trend toward patient-administered drug delivery. Key points of the presentation will include:
- Integrating HFE and DFM/DFA as foundations of the combination product development process
- Early manufacturing involvement to speed up time-to-market and reduce risk by ‘getting it right the first time’
- Development of a manufacturing scale-up strategy, concurrent with the development process
“As we continue to see the trend towards patient-administered drug delivery, it is critical the devices are useful, usable, desirable and manufacturable. In my presentation I will discuss how using an integrated product development process, combining human-centered design principles with a solid design for manufacturing philosophy, will address these items, improve the probability of success, reduce time to market and lower launch risk,” comments Bill Welch, Chief Technology Officer.
The Management Forum Annual International Conference Dry Powder Inhalers is located at the Rembrandt Hotel, 11 Thurloe Place, London on June 16-17, 2016.
