Training Intern

Responsibilities

The position is intended as a Summer Internship, with potential to work part time in the fall, based on business need. It is a paid position, but offers no benefits.  
  • Coordinate facility training activities by conferring with facility managers and supervisors to determine training needs
  • Develop, organize, and schedule training programs based on facility needs
  • Manage Corporate Training waitlist
  • Coordinate and schedule corporate training resources
  • Perform administrative duties in tracking facility participation in corporate development programs
  • Organize training material and manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials
  • Update Development Program Assessments
  • Update Training Coordinator Manual
  • Complete data entry for internal training and outside seminars in a timely manner
  • Maintain training records in compliance with standards stated in Phillips-Medisize‚Äôs quality system
  • Manage time and projects independently
  • Follow-up activities necessary to see projects or assignments to completion
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Keep work area clean
  • Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Actively participate in continual improvement, corrective action and customer satisfaction

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Working towards B.S. or M.S. degree in the field of training and development, or related field

  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership, organize, and solve problems 
  • Ability to utilize appropriate judgment and discretion as they relate to responsibilities
  • Ability to plan and organize work to effectively perform assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to engage in cooperative and responsible behavior, which affects the operation of the facility and the company in positive manner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
