Summer Intern- Quality Engineer

This position is intended as a temporary Summer Internship. The position will be full time during the summer, and may be extended on a part time basis, based on business need and mutual interest/availability. It is a paid position, but offers no benefits.
Assist in the coordination of new process techniques that improve overall job efficiencies.
•Work with customers concerning product quality and quality system issues.
•Work with production in identifying and implementing the most efficient and effective ways of controlling a process.
•Facilitate in-process and final inspection functions; including maintaining the associated records.
•Assist in coordinating the corrective action program.
•Complete dimensional, visual and functional lot release on incoming and outgoing product in accordance with sampling plans and take action in accordance with documented procedures when potential quality problems are identified.
•Prepare appropriate inspection records and measurement reports.
•Assist in implementing systems and procedures that assure compliance with Quality Standards.
•Perform other job-related duties as assigned to meet the objectives of Design Development Center
Qualifications - Education & Experience
•Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering or technical related discipline.
•Strong mechanical aptitude/any experience in manufacturing will be helpful
•Knowledge of and application of statistical techniques is a plus
