Responsibilities

• Assist with process development including setup and testing of new and revised production methods to establish parameters, process validation and completion of required documentation
• Evaluate functionality of tools, fixtures and secondary processes and make recommendations for modifications or production readiness
• Create production documentation to ensure repeatable and reliable work cell set-ups
• Provide process expertise in establishing design of experiment worse case runs and identifying key parameters that are most indicative of a controlled process
• Provide technical expertise and training for production; investigate and troubleshoot production problems; determine root cause and initiate corrective action as required
• Assist with data collection
• Assist with work cell layouts and ergonomic improvements
• Assist with creating, updating and training on WI, SOP, and other necessary documents needed to perform quality work
• Communicate process status and issues with engineering, maintenance, tooling, quality, production and scheduling
• Monitor, track & improve process throughput
• Evaluate processes for updating techniques, quality and overall efficiency to improve operations
• Support equipment refurbishment coordination and validation assessments
• Mentor mold technicians as they progress through the Mold Tech Development Program
• Create and manage “Tech Topic” meetings with internal mold technicians
• Support production set up and start up as needed
• Actively participate in continuous improvement scrap reduction projects
• Train mold technicians on new technologies
• Sustain current 5S practices and improve 5S sustainment in other areas
• Extended travel to other facilities may be required to support business needs
• Some programs may have vision requirements
• Other duties as assigned

  -Where applicable, individual is pre-planning safety into work activities to improve performance
  -Proactively identifies safety concerns
  -Complies with Environmental Management System program SOP’s/WI, Policy & Program elements and encourages responsible use of resources
• Actively participate in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction

Qualifications - Education & Experience

• Associates Degree in technical discipline or related field with 2 – 6 years manufacturing experience with at least five years’ experience in technical role
• One year of Statistical Process Control experience

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and create technical documents
• Ability to perform basic measurements

• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
