Quality Technician - 12 Hour Nights

Responsibilities

This Quality Technician position will work 12 HR NIGHT SHIFT, SCHEDULE INCLUDES WORKING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND, WITH  ALTERNATING 3-DAY WEEKENDS OFF.   The Quality Technician works with manufacturing of medical devices and kits, working with inspection, calibration and using skills in SPC, blueprint reading. Experience with quality systems highly desired!
  • Complete dimensional, visual and functional lot release on incoming and outgoing product in accordance with sampling plans and take action in accordance to documented procedures when potential quality problems are identified
  • Control and properly document non-conforming product
  • Coordinate, perform and maintain Phillips’ calibration procedures
  • Provide quality systems training and assistance to employees in quality decisions and measurement techniques
  • Complete capability studies and gaga R&R analysis
  • Prepare appropriate inspection records and measurement reports
  • Identify and recommend continual improvement opportunities for quality systems
  • Assist with submission of validation packets
  • Operate precision measuring instruments in accordance with approved procedures
  • Verify, index, file and retrieve quality records
  • Complete dimensional, visual and functional lot release on incoming and outgoing product in accordance with sampling plans and take action in accordance to documented procedures when potential quality problems are identified
  • Participate in problem solving activities
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Keep work area clean
  • Report incidents and injuries to team leader/manager immediately
  • Recognize close-call incidents and safety hazards and take action to eliminate them
  • Use equipment properly and follow the safety features/operating procedures
  • Wear applicable personal protective equipment
  • Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
  • Actively participate in continual improvement, corrective action and customer satisfaction

 

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Technical degree in related field, or equivalent mix of education and experience
  • 3 years quality related experience
  • At least one (1) year system management experience
  • Knowledge in receiving and incoming inspection process and requirements

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

  • ASQ certification or equivalent experience (CQT)
  • Knowledge and experience working in a GMP environment
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Ability to apply SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills including ERP systems
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
