Responsibilities

Quality Inspectors need for DAY and NIGHT shifts

12 HR DAY AND NIGHT SHIFTS, SCHEDULE INCLUDES WORKING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND, WITH  ALTERNATING 3-DAY WEEKENDS OFF - Fulltime position working only 15 days/month, with overtime built into schedule every other week!

  • Perform inspections per control plans/inspection plans, document results , and make start-up decisions
  • Review and generate necessary SPC charts
  • Review SPC charts for violations of established rules of stability and capability
  • Identify, contain, and document all defective/suspect product
  • Operate precision measuring instruments in accordance with approved procedures
  • Train / mentor manufacturing team members in inspection and measurement processes
  • Perform statistical studies such as gage repeatability/reproducibility and capability studies
  • Complete capability studies and gage R&R analysis
  • Execute receiving inspections on purchased components
  • Manage and report on MRB process
  • Interpret visual and dimensional quality criteria to operators
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control and quality system software programs
  • Verify, index, file, and retrieve quality records
  • Participate in problem solving activities
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Safety/Environmental:

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Understanding of basic statistical techniques
  • Ability to operate inspection instruments (i.e., calipers)
  • Requires basic reading, writing, and math skills to successfully perform job

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Understanding of Statistical Process Control software
  • Ability to read basic blue prints
