Project Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

Intern opportunity available NOW, to work 15-20 hours/week through the Spring semester, and fulltime during the summer!  This is a paid position but offers no benefits.  Hours will be primarily during business hours, perferably 3 days per week.  Some flexibility in scheduling is available.  Co-ops would also be considered. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with Project Engineering group to support pre-production tooling projects
  • Coordinate validation sample planning and oversee execution
  • Build and manage project timelines within Celoxis (resource management tool)
  • Complete technical summaries and report writing for presentation to engineering team, customers and management
  • Facilitate metrology requests and ensure collaboration with quality department
  • Facilitate communication between engineering functions, manufacturing and multi-facility groups
  • Support external and internal equipment transfer activities as needed
  • Evaluate processes for updating techniques, quality and overall efficiency to improve operations
  • Actively participate in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Must have completed at least two years of academic course work
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or related technical discipline

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

  • Working knowledge of injection molding and materials desired
  • Ability to work with all levels in the organization, as well as with customers and vendors
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of engineering project systems
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Flexibility in work assignments and willingness to work across multiple disciplines
