Production Support Specialist - 12 Hour Nights

Responsibilities

• Production reporting in manufacturing system
• Set up and tear down of auxiliary equipment according to set-up sheets
• Fill out Set-up sheets daily
• Troubleshoot and problem solve secondary or assembly equipment machines
• Complete cleaning of workstations at start up and finish
• Operate injection-molding machines and perform related duties, which include molding, material handling, trimming, secondary operations, and inspection of parts as molded
• Read and understand written procedures
• Weigh parts on scale for accurate counts
• Support the automatic presses in molding
• Obtain and utilize information from manufacturing systems
• Assist in validation of equipment
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation
• Assist team with identifying/verifying proper tagging/labeling and documentation of inventory throughout the facility
• Print labels
• Proper use of scales
• Verify labels/work orders packets prior to issuing them to production floor
• Be familiar with terminology to describe problems with parts
• Other duties as assigned
• Proactively identifies safety concerns
• Comply with Environmental Management System program SOP’s/WI, Policy & Program elements and encourage responsible use of resources
• Actively participate in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction
• Accurately perform line reconciliation
• Know how to non-conform out of specification product
• Accurately perform line set-up and end of lot duties
• Daily enter all required data required into Batch Records and review operator entries for accuracy
• Assist in reviewing completed Batch Records for compliance and accuracy
• Some programs may have vision requirements

Qualifications - Education & Experience

• Basic reading, writing and math
• Minimum one year of production experience

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of plastics manufacturing systems and procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to organize and effectively communicate details
• Basic reading, to include comprehension skills
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must hold a forklift drivers certification
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and Spatial relationship skills
• Knowledge of lot codes and First-In/First-Out inventory

 

12 HOUR DAY/NIGHT SHIFT, SCHEDULE INCLUDES WORKING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND, WITH ALTERNATING 3-DAY WEEKENDS OFF!
