Production Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure Operators are following Work Instructions and procedures
• Ensure quality parts are being manufacturing and inform Quality of any nonconformities
• Ensure that Operators are meeting rate and that rates are able to be met
• Verify equipment calibration
• Verify that production documentation is acceptable and within spec along with GDP
• Assist with line clears
• Document clean room logs
• Identify people needs outside of the clean room for packaging
• Production reporting in manufacturing system
• Complete cleaning of workstations at start up and finish
• Operate injection-molding machines and perform related duties, which include molding, material handling, trimming, secondary operations, and inspection of parts as molded
• Read and understand written procedures
• Weigh parts on scale for accurate counts
• Support the automatic presses in molding
• Obtain and utilize information from manufacturing systems
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation
• Print labels
• Proper use of scales
• Verify labels/work orders packets prior to issuing them to production floor
• Be familiar with terminology to describe problems with parts
• Some programs may have vision requirements
• Other duties as assigned
• Safety/Environmental:
  -Where applicable, individual is pre-planning safety into work activities to improve performance
  -Proactively identifies safety concerns
  -Complies with Environmental Management System program SOP’s/WI, Policy & Program elements and encourages responsible use of resources
• Actively participate in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction

Qualifications - Education & Experience

• Basic reading, writing and math
• Minimum one year of production experience

• Knowledge of plastics manufacturing systems and procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to organize and effectively communicate details
• Basic reading, to include comprehension skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision

 

12 HOUR DAY/NIGHT SHIFT, SCHEDULE INCLUDES WORKING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND, WITH ALTERNATING 3-DAY WEEKENDS OFF
