Production Supervisor-12 Hour Nights

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership to production staff, including people management as follows:  managing performance; addressing disciplinary issues; hiring; assisting people with career development; communicating information to direct reports and passing information up the management chain; ensuring team is aligned with and accomplishing goals/objectives; administrative processing; and, maintaining trust and confidentiality
  • Demonstrate leadership ability and foresight to plan and delegate work in advance
  • Organize and coordinate activities within the manufacturing operation to meet or exceed the facility and corporate goals
  • Ensure quality procedures are executed and quality parts are produced and delivered on time that meets customer specifications
  • Project staffing for daily and future production needs
  • Coach and facilitate problem solving among production staff
  • Promote continuous improvement involvement along with timely completion of all corrective actions assigned
  • Consistently monitor machinery, processes, tools and work cell layouts in order to recommend improvements that yield increases in profit and quality levels and decreases potential safety hazards
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Where applicable, individual is pre-planning safety into work activities to improve performance, proactively identifies safety concerns, and complies with
  • Environmental Management System program SOP’s/WI, Policy & Program elements and encourages responsible use of resources

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Associates Degree in a manufacturing related discipline with 2 - 4 years of related experience,
     OR,
    Equivalent mix of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience to supervise all Production staff
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficient with computers and software
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to participate in activities requiring extended time spent in any area of the facility
  • Be a self-starter and possess the ability to properly manage time and projects
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Decision making and prioritization skills
  • Ability to develop and meet project schedules, along with contingency plans

12 HR NIGHT/DAY SHIFT, SCHEDULE INCLUDES WORKING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND, WITH ALTERNATING 3-DAY WEEKENDS OFF!
