Production Coordinator - 12 Hour Days

Responsibilities

12 HR DAY SHIFT, SCHEDULE INCLUDES WORKING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND, WITH  ALTERNATING 3-DAY WEEKENDS OFF
  • Schedule Manufacturing Operators to jobs, their breaks, and their rotations
  • Update and manage all aspects of the production floor schedule
  • Perform production floor 5S audits and enter into 5S report card
  • Communicate with Materials Manager, Master Scheduler, and Production Team Leader on any schedule concerns or constraints
  • Perform as a back-up for the Production Team Leader in their absence
  • Review shift report for accuracy and close shift in IQMS when needed
  • Perform visual inspections on 1st off parts and on parts throughout the run, document results, and make start-up decisions to ensures parts going to IP lab are visually acceptable
  • Identify, contain, and document all defective/suspect product per customer specs and per documented visual standard boards
  • Coach and train production group on 5S requirements and perform audits of operators throughout shift and at shift end
  • Ensure consistent training of operators per customer requirements and controlled work instructions
  • Communicate daily with Production Coordinators on other shifts to ensure consistency 
  • Proactively ensure production books, BOM and work orders are accurate, updated, and available at the start of a production run
  • Interpret visual and dimensional quality criteria to operators
  • Actively attend validation runs to ensure AQP documents are completed and ample feedback provided on comments section of forms
  • Coordinate necessary production staff and supporting documentation for Engineering builds
  • Throughout production runs monitor the GDP and GMP of the work cell and work orders ensuring proper signoffs and timely completion of checks.  At work order closeout, review work order to avoid lot failing due to inadequate signoffs or missing data
  • Participate in problem solving activities, Rapid Improvement events and Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Coach operators on quality expectations and help operators understand quality requirements & how to execute
  • Assist Team Leader with various projects on an as needed basis
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Associates Degree in Manufacturing or related field with 2 years related experience,
  •                                 OR
  • 5 - 7 years of directly related experience and education with no degree
  • At least one (1) year system management experience
