Process Engineer - Rotational Program

Responsibilities

This position is targeted for a DECEMBER 2017 OR MAY 2018 graduate.

• Phillips-Medisize offers an engineering rotational program to new college graduates at the Bachelors level with a degree in a related technical discipline
• The Engineer will work at up to 3 locations/facilities in Wisconsin/MA/CA over 18 months. The position requires 100% mobility to move based on business need. Opportunities for International assignments may be available to support our facilities in Europe, Mexico and China.
• At the end of the program, placement in one of the U.S. facilities is based on the business need; the engineer’s preference will be considered.  Most opportunities will be in Wisconsin facilities, where the majority of employees are based.
• These are fulltime, regular positions offering a competitive salary and benefits, along with relocation assistance for each move.

Key Responsibilities
• Continuously improve existing processes using design of experiments and other methods to increase efficiencies.
• Provide engineering team with information and analysis tools.
• Implement systems and procedures that assure compliance with Quality Standards.
• Responsible for completing work orders and attachments, validation documentation, tooling and maintenance work orders and sample request documentation as required.
• Actively participate in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction.
• Be a technical resource for the initiation and implementation of cost improvement plans on new and existing programs.
• Some programs may have vision requirements.

Qualifications - Education & Experience

• Bachelor degree Plastics Engineering or related field; 
• Internship or co-op experience highly desired.

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical skills in injection molding, tooling, materials, product design, and affiliated processes: to include secondary operations and automation.
• Ability to identify problems and develop and implement actions to resolve them.
• Strong communication (verbal and written), teamwork and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of robotics, automation, equipment and processes.
• Comprehensive and demonstrated knowledge of SPC, DOE, geometric tolerance and blueprint reading.
• Ability to use CAD to determine if tooling, equipment and part designs meet requirements.
