Principal Trainer

• Conducts facility-specific needs assessments/instructional analysis and confers with managers and supervisors to determine training needs
• Formulates training programs and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in procedures or services
• Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulations exercises, role play, and computer-based training
• Organizes and develops training material and manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials
• Schedules and conducts training classes based on training needs, and supporting various work and production schedules
• Create and deploy survey’s and then analyze the data to assist in decision making
• Create new training programs, research the educational material to be added, make suggestions to managers on what should be included
• Work with subject matter experts to maintain our own knowledge and keep materials current
• Work with the facility Training Coordinators (meetings, training, assistance, offer suggestions)
• Some programs may have vision requirements
• Other duties as assigned
• Safety/Environmental:
  -Where applicable, individual is pre-planning safety into work activities to improve performance
  -Proactively identifies safety concerns
  -Complies with Environmental Management System Program SOP’s/WI, Policy & Program elements and encourages responsible use of resources
• Actively participate in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction

Qualifications - Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or adult education/training; or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in one of the following related fields:
  -Manufacturing processes
  -Adult education/training
