Operations Manager - Assembly

Responsibilities

We are seeking an Operations Manager for our medical manufacturing facility in New Richmond, WI!

  • Provide direction and leadership to the Assembly operations including people management
  • Forecast capital expenditures for improvement, replacement, or modification to assembly equipment and facility
  • Coach and facilitate problem solving among team members
  • Consistently monitor machinery, processes, and work cell layouts in order to recommend improvements that yield increases in profit and quality levels and decreases in potential safety hazards
  • Ensure increased focus is placed on process development for finished medical devices
  • Ensure production planning is carried out to most efficiently use existing resources
  • Deploy Lean tools and practices throughout the facility
  • Manage and deploy a flexible (full time/contingent) workforce appropriately with the shifts in customer demand
  • Provide work direction and support for Production Engineering Resources
  • Function as a customer contact on quality and delivery issues outside the routine scope of the customer service reps
  • Ensure cGMP is followed and provide necessary training
  • Maintain focus on good GDP
  • Ensure focus on inventory management
  • Support production quality goals
  • Adhere to and support requirements for clean room manufacturing
  • Help promote overall efficient operational environment:
    -Scrap reduction
    -Set-up and line clearance reduction
    -Inventory turns
    -Schedule efficiency
    -Drive CIPs and cost reduction efforts
  • Participate in the business planning process
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree in a manufacturing engineering related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years work experience in a large manufacturing environment
  • Experience in manufacturing medical device assembly
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience leading/supervising people
