Inventory Control Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Audit inventory workflow through cycle count process to ensure effective adherence to sound inventory management principles such as FIFO
  • Review and optimize IQMS or other ERP system settings to meet key objectives
  • Implement & maintain strategic POUS inventory locations
  • Maintain, control, and coordinate movement of work-in-progress and finished goods inventory in conforming, non-conforming and rework areas
  • Maintain inventory control and organization for first-in/first-out inventory
  • Reconcile all components for completed work orders and associate inventory adjustments to each
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly physical inventories and cycle counting
  • Document and update product movement between warehouses
  • Ensure completion of batch record to the point of lot release
  • Perform  IQMS inventory transactions 
  • Obtain and utilize information from IQMS System to publish key inventory metrics for stakeholder review and decision making
  • Prepare finished good and paperwork per customer requirements for shipment, both domestic and international
  • Coordinate freight carriers with freight deliveries
  • Identify received items to be entered into inventory and distribute to appropriate department utilizing the proper equipment, materials, and electronic system for tracking
  • Act as a communication link to customer service concerning the shipping status of orders
  • Verify MSDS sheets and or material certifications are received with materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years working in an assembly work environment

  • Basic math skills
  • Basic reading, to include comprehension skills
  • Satisfactory work and attendance record
  • Working knowledge of IQMS system
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Successful completion of safe lifting test
  • Knowledge of materials and parts numbers
  • Communication skills
  • Proper use of scales
  • Must be familiar with the quality expectations for all assemblies produced
