Finishing Technician - 12 Hour Nights

Responsibilities

  • Set up jobs for pad printers, lasers, assembly lines, and any other finishing/assembly operations
  • Perform general preventive maintenance on lasers, sonic welders, pad printers, assembly lines, and any other finishing/assembly equipment
  • Complete set-up and/or parameter sheets and other recordkeeping as required
  • Communicate changes/issues with Team Leader and with technicians on other shifts
  • Work along with Maintenance and Engineering Technicians while trouble shooting and correcting issues on equipment
  • Ensure quality of all parts and make adjustments to equipment/processes as needed
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Complete all of the required batch record and/or device history file documentation
  • Training resource for new automation for the Production Support Specialists
  • Setup and changeover of the high speed automation lines, the medical device assembly lines and the drug product assembly and packaging equipment
  • Primary assembly resource for new automation for new programs and participate when appropriate on the project team
  • Assure a high level of safety for self and co-workers
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • One year Technical Degree in related field, or 1 year completed toward an associate‚Äôs degree in electro-mechanical discipline, 
  • OR pass the Technician Development Program assessments
  • Associates degree in electro-mechanical discipline is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year related experience (example:  Production Support Specialist experience)
  • Work in a timely manner to be certified in the Finishing Tech Development Program

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

  • Basic mechanical aptitude; ability to recognize potential problems with product or equipment and take corrective action
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in scheduling of product
  • Must be a self-starter and possess effective time-management skills
  • Ability to participate effectively in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

 

 

12 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT, SCHEDULE INCLUDES WORKING EVERY OTHER WEEKEND, WITH ALTERNATING 3-DAY WEEKENDS OFF!
