Director of Strategic Marketing

Responsibilities

This position can be based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area (Hudson, WI) or other major metro areas where Phillips-Medisize has offices.

Serve as the strategic marketing subject matter expert globally for the Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, medical business. Lead strategic plan development and execute plan to grow market position, sales and profits globally through the processes of strategic assessment, planning, branding, marketing communications, sales targeting to closure and operational implementation.

  • Together with the executive leadership team, develop the Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, medical strategic marketing plan and marketing communications plan
  • Lead the implementation of all strategic marketing and marketing communications activities
  • Continue to build / evolve the Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, brand and medical presence as a global leader in outsource design, development, and manufacturing services 
  • Define strategic markets and customer specific targets with large potential 
  • Identify and evaluate market leading technologies, products, and services which are incremental to current Phillips-Medisize value propositions and support corporate leadership to help establish such strategic capabilities
  • With the guidance of the CEO and Global VP Sales & Marketing, will assemble internal communications and board presentation materials
  • Build, develop and grow business relationships in all market segments vital to the success of Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company
  • Partner with Opportunity Management to maximize the pre-production and production customer contract target to closure ratio
  • Extended travel both domestic and international to attend various meetings and conferences with other departmental personnel, customers, and regulatory bodies
  • Interact with the global Design Development Centers and executive leadership for pricing-to-market decisions for key programs and customers

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • BS degree in business marketing or engineering or equivalent experience and education 
  • Experience developing medical markets, technologies and new customers
  • Minimum of ten (10) years business-to-business marketing experience
  • A strong knowledge of medical market segment(s) and customer base (both existing and potential) in technology, products, developing trends and opportunities
  • Significant experience with developing new customers and programs
  • Experience developing business strategy with top consulting firm
  • Experience facilitating strategy development with executive management teams

  • Strong working knowledge of assigned market segment(s) and customer base (both existing and potential) in technology, developing trends and opportunities

  • Ability to partner effectively (internally and externally) with personnel at all levels, particularly at top management levels / decision makers within the customer base
  • Strong and effective communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation and negotiation
