Corporate Paralegal

  • Manage the lifecycle of a variety of contractual and legal documents
  • Serve as the custodian of records in regards to the company’s legal documents and contractual agreements
  • Help improve and manage a centralized document library for a variety of legal and contractual documents, as well as other pertinent records
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new requests for legal services
  • Utilize a centralized document management system to track the status of new requests for legal services
  • Prepare new documents for review by other members of the legal team
  • Update the contract review queue and prepare status reports as directed by the legal team
  • Create and organize office procedures for the legal team
  • Act as a liaison between the legal team and other internal departments
  • Effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the company
  • Coordinate scheduling, travel and appointments for various members of the legal and corporate teams
  • Ability to make redlined edits to routine non-disclosure agreements 
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Research and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, and legal articles
  • Investigate facts to determine causes of action and to prepare case materials and legal documents for review, approval, and use by an attorney
  • Schedule and may assist with depositions
  • Some programs may have vision requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications - Education & Experience

  • Associate Degree in a related area with 3-5 years’ experience in a legal department

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced working knowledge of software programs including, PowerPoint, Access Excel and Word
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be capable of working with very large amounts of data 
  • Must excel at working in matrix organization across functional lines
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrate ability to be meticulous with accuracy of work
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize fast paced workload
