Responsibilities

Technician: A full
time position based in our Hillegom offices
in The Netherlands  

Position: Carry out all technical activities concerning
moulding machines, mould setting, mould maintenance. This includes full scope
of press set-up and processing from barrel and nozzle changes to validation and
all related quality aspects. The Technician is able to work under limited
supervision.

Key Responsibilities for the Technician are:











Quality and Safety:

properly and follow the safety features/operating procedures

Report incidents
and injuries to Supervisor immediately



·        
Recognize
close-call incidents and safety hazards and take action to eliminate them

Wear applicable
personal protective equipment

Comply with all
applicable safety, quality and environmental programs, policies and
procedures



Technical:

  •  All technical
    adjustments to moulds and moulding machines
  • Troubleshoot minor
    press issues, with the assistance of the maintenance group

  • Fix technical defects
    in alignment with Sr. Technician or Supervisor

  • Mould maintenance and
    mould setting

  • Change barrels and
    nozzles

  • Material handling
    activities

  • Maintain auxiliary
    equipment

  • Assist to evaluate
    functionality of tools, fixtures and secondary processes and make
    recommendations for modifications or production readiness

Validation:

  • Assist
    in providing moulding expertise in establishing design of experiment worse case
    runs and identifying key parameters that are most indicative of a controlled
    process

  • Execute
    samples in tool room press(es) according to schedule

  • Assist
    communication of sampling status and issues with maintenance, tooling, quality,
    production, engineering, and scheduling

  • Assist
    in sampling of parts for engineering builds including setup and testing of new
    and revised production tools to establish parameters, process validation, and
    completion of required documentation

Other:

  •  Actively participate in continual improvement,
    corrective action and customer satisfaction
  • Must be available to work in dayshift and in different
    shift rotation systems (2, 3 and 5 shifts)

  • Must be available for consignment service

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications - Education & Experience


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Associates
Degree in technical discipline or three years manufacturing experience in
technical role

  • GMP certified.
    This is a continuing (dis-) qualifying demand for this position

  • Knowledge of Hot Runner
    Systems

  • Knowledge of Valve
    Gate Systems

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • High level of
    accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to read and
    understand blueprints

  • Ability to perform
    basic measurements

  • Good communication
    skills

  • Basic computer skills
    including Word and Excel

  • Solid human relations
    skills

  • English Language
    Proficiency at CEFR B1 level

  • Experience setting up
    and programming robots

  • Experience with
    scientific molding principles and documentation

  • Completion of Mould
    Technician certification program

  • Must be willing and
    able to work in shift rotation systems
