Project
Manager Pre Production
A full
time position based in our Hillegom offices
in The Netherlands  

Position:

Manage Pre-Production projects within Phillips-Medisize according to the
scope, budget and time schedule.
Reporting and
operating under the direction and guidance of Engineering Manager, based in
Hillegom, The Netherlands.

Qualifications - Education & Experience

Key Responsibilities for the Project
Manager Pre Production are:













Project Management:



·        
Create,
execute and revise project work plans to meet changing needs and
requirements in reference to the scope of the project



·        
Manage
and monitor day-to-day aspects of projects



·        
Identify
required capabilities and resources in support of the project scope and
deliverables



·        
Manage
the investments and execution timeline of the project



·        
Manage,
prepare and initiate Scope Change quotation



·        
Control
and coordinate all relevant Project Resources



·        
Review
deliverables prepared by the team before passing to customer



·        
Use Project
Management tools as directed by Engineering Manager in line with Corporate
Best Practices (MS Project, Resource by Month planning, Scope Change, Risk
Management)



Customer and Supplier relations:

  • Manage
    day-to-day customer interaction

  • Set and manage
    customer expectations

  • Initiate scope
    change requests within appropriate.

  • Identify
    customer needs and evaluate alternative business solutions

  • Manage project
    investments and execution with suppliers in cooperation with purchasing

  • Ensure a smooth
    transfer of the product from 
    Pre-Production stage into Final Production stage

Quality/Design Assurance:

  • Manage
    to execute validations and associated tests to be performed in the
    pre-production phase in close collaboration with Design Assurance and or other
    related/relevant disciplines  

  • Ensure
    all project and quality documentation are complete, current and stored appropriately

Development:

  • Ensure the development of the product is in line
    with the scope/specification and expectations of the customer

  • Coordinate the development of engineering data (such
    as models, drawings, detailing, validation results, etcetera )

  • Ensure proper filing of the project data

  • Optimize manufacturability of the product

  • Manage the timeline of the development in line with
    the scope of the project

Finance & Reporting:

  • Prepare quoting material for Sales & Marketing
    in close collaboration with Proposal Development/Cost Estimation

  • Report project status to Engineering Manager

  • Report Pre-Production project related Sales
    Invoicing & Forecast Management Reconciliations

  • Communicate project status to Business Development
    Manager and to customers

  • Present Executive Project Reviews

Communication Internal:

  • Frequent communication with Engineering Manager,
    Business Development Managers, Principal Proposal Developer/Cost Estimator and
    project team members, especially site Quality and Process Engineering
    personnel.

  • Regular communication with Dutch and Finnish
    personnel from similar functions, including Tooling and Automation.

Communication External:

  • Regular project update meetings with customers.

  • As required communication sales and proposal
    development process, Suppliers in regard to project investments, project
    progression and new materials.

Qualifications - Skills & Competencies


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • BSc or MSc in
    engineering (Mechanical/Physics/Materials)

  • Technical
    education combined with commercial subjects

  • Relevant
    knowledge of ISO 13485 and other applicable standards

  • Principles/methods
    of process, production qualification

  • Windows,
    Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, MS Project

  • Technical
    knowledge of plastic molding and assembly

  • Relevant
    production process knowledge

  • Understanding
    of Phillips-Medisize capabilities

  • Understanding
    of various cultures and skills to adapt

  • English
    at Business and Technical  proficiency at
    C1 level  *)

  • Leadership

  • Advanced
    Communication Skills

  • Customer
    orientation and handling cultural differences

  • Negotiation
    and contractual skills

  • Time
    management skills

  • 5
    years or more  experience in project
    management

  • Experience
    in product creation/development and product industrialization is a pre.
