Program Manager

The Program Manager manages multiple large-scale
Design & Development and /or New Product Introduction projects or highly complex
programs within Phillips-Medisize according to the scope, budget and time

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management

  • Create, execute and revise project work
    plans to meet changing needs and requirements in reference to the scope of
    the project.
  • Manage and monitor critical aspects of
    projects in conjunction with Project Managers and /or other key program
    work stream leads
  • Identify required capabilities and
    resources in support of the project scope and deliverables.
  • Manage the investments and execution
    timeline of the project.
  • Control and coordinate all relevant
    Project Resources
  • Review deliverables prepared by the team before
    passing to customer
  • Facilitate effective and timely
    communication among engineering, design, internal suppliers, external
    suppliers and customers

Customer and Supplier relations

  • Manage day-to-day customer interaction
  • Set and manage customer expectations,
    initiate scope change requests
  • Identify customer needs and evaluate
    alternative business solutions
  • Motivate and influence people to achieve
    customer satisfaction
  • Manage project investments and execution
    with suppliers in cooperation with purchasing
  • Ensure smooth transfer of the product from
    Pre-Production stage into Final Production stage

Design Assurance

  • Manage the execution of validations and
    associated tests required to be performed in the pre-production phase in
    close collaboration with Design Assurance and or other related/relevant
  • Ensure all project and quality documentation are complete,
    current and stored appropriately


  • Ensure the development of the product is
    in line with the scope/specification and expectations of the customer and
    in alignment with Phillips Medisize Corporation Design Development Process
    (DDP) and associated SOP’s
  • Coordinate the development of engineering
    data (such as models, drawings, detailing, validation results, etcetera )
  • Ensure proper filing of the project data
  • Optimize manufacturability of the product
  • Manage the timeline of the development in
    line with the scope of the project

Finance & Reporting

  • Management of the Program/Projects to
    agreed budget delivering agreed contribution margin
  • Prepare quoting material for Sales &
    Marketing in close collaboration with Proposal Development
  • Report project status to Engineering
  • Communicate project status to Business
    Development Manager and to customers
  • Present update information as necessary at
    Executive Project Reviews
  • Provide periodic update reports as
    required by PMC Management
  • Prepare and present information at Joint
    Steering Committee (JSC) meetings










Qualifications - Education & Experience

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • > 10 years of demonstrable experience in project management of large-scale projects
  • BSc or MSc in engineering (Mechanical/Physics/Materials)
  • Technical education with commercial subjects
  • Relevant knowledge of ISO 13485 and other applicable standards
  • Principles/methods of process, production qualification, relevant production process knowledge
  • Technical knowledge of plastic molding and assembly
  • Experience in product creation/development and product industrialization
  • Strong and diverse technical injection molding tooling, materials, manufacturing, quality and product design skills
  • Demonstrated superior communication, teamwork and organizational skills
  • Customer orientation and handling cultural differences 
  • Negotiation and contractual skills
  • Understanding of various cultures and skills to adapt
  • English at Business and Technical  proficiency at CEFR C1 level
  • Seen as respected authority/colleague in previous job
