Responsibilities

Metrology Manager
CMO

A full time
position based in our Hillegom offices
in The Netherlands  

 

Position:

The Metrology Manager will ensure a permanent
state of quality compliance and optimized customer service level of the PMNL
Metrology organization.

·      

Lead and/or participate in (quality
improvement) projects

·      

Translate company goals into
department goals and execute appraisal cycle

·      

Work together with the
pre-production and production department peers to develop and execute
(mid-term) strategies and process improvement

           

Key Responsibilities for the Metrology Manager are:

 

Quality & Regulatory Affairs:

·      

Deliver accurate results related
to (Dimensional) Metrology activities for both Production and
Pre-Production on tactical and operational level

·      

Generate, review and authorize
Metrology/Quality related documents

·      

Investigate deviations/Out of
specifications and NCR’s (non-conformances) by determining the root cause
and implementing corrective and preventive actions

·      

Analyze data concerning
production, processes and the quality management system and propose
improvements

·      

Ensure correct state of
equipment (maintenance, replacement, investments and CAPEX handling);

·      

Coordinate Validation related
Documents;

·    

Actively
Execute internal and external audits including reports

 

Customer
and supplier relations:

·      

On request accompany Customer and
Regulatory Body Auditors
;

·      

Participate and support customer visits,
programs, and audits

·      

Develop and maintain effective working
relationship with suppliers

 

Team
Building:

·     

Act as a strong manager both with
direct reports, as well as the peer-group and quality team

·      

Show professional can-do attitude
towards the internal as well as the external organization and develop direct
reports into the same direction

·      

Bring flexibility to the team and
strengthen capabilities by cross-training activities

·      

Energize and connect the team both
internally and externally.

 

Miscellaneous:

·      

Development of inspection plans for measuring
equipment including Calypso software (more 
senior Metrology Engineer task)

·      

Participate in (quality) improvement projects

·      

Act with Courage and Candor

·      

Resilience capabilities

Internal
and external communications:

·      

All departments within Phillips-Medisize as they relate to test
development

·      

Customer, Suppliers

 

 

 

 

Qualifications - Education & Experience

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

·       Bachelor or equivalent by experience/training Experience in CMO plastics industry with international customers is preferred

·       Sound knowledge of metrology processes and equipment

·       Understanding of Quality Management Systems in general and metrology specific (e.g. ISO13485 ISO 2859, ISO 3951, GAMP 5)

·       Good Manufacturing Practices

·       Lean and Six Sigma is beneficial

·       Statistical Techniques

·       Effective communication skills 

·       Manage multiple tasks and challenges

·       Execute tasks with high accuracy and reliability

·       Able to set priorities

·       Customer focused

·       Execute RCA and Risk management assessments

·       Proficient computer skills

·       Able to think in solutions, social and communication skills

·       Statistical Software applications 

·       English proficiency at CEFR B2 level

·       Mastering Dutch language 

·       3+ years’ experience in Quality Healthcare and/or similar regulated Industry
